What To Expect During Your Eye Test
During your eye test our experienced optometrists will listen to your current concerns and review your eye history. They will start with an accurate refraction to determine your prescription for glasses or contact lenses. Following this you’ll have a thorough examination of the front and back of your eyes.
The optometrist can then discuss with you the best optical solutions, taking your unique visual requirements into consideration.
Our optometrists are therapeutically certified so they can provide prescriptions for medicated eye drops if required. They will also refer and co-manage eye conditions with your GP and local ophthalmologists.

Our in-depth sight tests last around 30-45munites. We use a fundus camera to take retinal photographs and an OCT scanner to assess the individual layers of the back of your eyes. Together, these advanced diagnostic technologies enable early detection, personalized care, and better long-term eye health outcomes.
Our Rodenstock DNEye Scanner provides measurements such as your pachymetry (corneal thickness), and topography (mapping the shape of your cornea). It also gives our optometrists information on how your vision is affected in different light conditions. This allows us to tailor your vision correction with exceptional precision.
Our eye tests also include up to date instrumentation to check your eye pressures and measure your visual field.

Emergency Appointments
If you have a new onset eye problem such as a sore, red eye or flashes and floaters, please call our practice for advice. We can triage you over the phone and will always endeavour to book you an appointment with one of our optometrists as soon as possible.
